Dear families,
What a fantastic day we've had today! First, we woke up early and had a good breakfast. Afterwards, we got into the bus and headed to Playa del Sardinero, in Santander, to practice surf! 🌊🏄
To start with, we were given some basic notions on the sand to handle the board and to learn to stand up on it. It's not as easy as it might seem! The instructors taught us some important movements to be able to face the waves and, finally, we got into the water. It was a bit cold but fine because the wet suits did their job! Nevertheless, we had a great time surfing the waves, playing in the water, in the sand... and also, we were lucky to have a perfect weather. What a great time we had!
When we finished at the beach, we came back to the camp and had a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we did different activities outdoors until the snack time. Then, we had showers to remove the sea salt from our skin and organized our bedrooms. Later, we spent the rest of the evening playing different games to get to know each other better until dinner time. After dinner, we went outside again and played some fun group games. ⚽🏉
It's been a fruitful and well spent day! We look forward to finding out what tomorrow brings. Hold on and we'll let you know!

¡Qué día tan fantástico hemos tenido hoy! Primero, nos hemos levantado temprano y hemos desayunado. Después, hemos subido al autobús y nos hemos dirigido a la Playa del Sardinero, en Santander, ¡para practicar surf! 🌊🏄
Para empezar, nos dieron unas nociones básicas en la arena para manejar la tabla y aprender a ponernos de pie sobre ella. ¡No es tan fácil como puede parecer! Los monitores nos enseñaron algunos movimientos importantes para poder enfrentarnos a las olas y, finalmente, nos metimos en el agua. Hacía un poco de frío, pero no pasaba nada porque los trajes de neopreno cumplían su función. A pesar de todo, lo pasamos genial surfeando las olas, jugando en el agua, en la arena... y además, tuvimos la suerte de tener un tiempo perfecto. ¡Qué bien lo hemos pasado!
Cuando terminamos en la playa, volvimos al campamento y comimos un delicioso almuerzo. Por la tarde, hicimos diferentes actividades al aire libre hasta la hora de la merienda. Después, nos duchamos para quitarnos la sal del mar de la piel y organizamos nuestras habitaciones. Más tarde, pasamos el resto de la tarde jugando a diferentes juegos para conocernos mejor hasta la hora de cenar. Después de cenar, volvimos a salir y jugamos a unos juegos en grupo muy divertidos. ⚽🏈
¡Ha sido un día fructífero y bien aprovechado! Estamos deseando saber qué nos deparará el día de mañana. ¡Esperad y os lo contaremos!
