Today was our last day… We can’t believe
how time went by so fast! We are definitely going to miss the monitors and the
hostel but, on the other hand, we can’t wait to see our families and tell them
everything about this experience.
Hoy ha sido nuestro ultimo día… ¡No nos podemos creer lo rápido que ha
pasado el tiempo! Vamos a echar de menos a nuestros monitores y el albergue
pero, por otro lado, estamos deseando ver a nuestras familias y contarles todo
sobre esta experiencia.
This morning we had our last breakfast at the hostel and we learnt that
the best team was Ireland, and the second best was the USA. Congratulations!!!
Esta mañana tuvimos nuestro último desayuno en el albergue y nos
contaron que el mejor equipo ha sido Irlanda, y el segundo mejor ha sido
Estados Unidos. ¡Felicidades!
The cities which won were Montreal (from Canada’s team), LA (from the
USA), Sydney (from Australia) and Cork (from Ireland)… Well done!!!
Las ciudades que ganaron fueron Montreal (del equipo de Canadá), LA
(de Estados Unidos), Sydney (de Australia) y Cork (de Irlanda)… ¡Bien hecho!
Then, we visited Santillana del Mar and Wally told us some interesting
facts about that place and its history. After that, we had some free time to
buy some souvenirs to take home and remember this adventure.
Después, visitamos Santillana del Mar y Wally nos contó algunos datos
interesantes sobre este lugar y su historia. Después de esto, tuvimos un poco
de tiempo libre para comprar algunos suvenires para llevar a casa y recordar
esta aventura.
The next stop… Altamira caves and museum! We had the opportunity of
admiring the replica of the prehistoric paintings, and we also spent some time
at the museum learning about life in the past.
La siguiente parada… ¡Las cuevas de Altamira y el museo! Tuvimos la
oportunidad de admirar una réplica de las pinturas prehistóricas y también
estuvimos un tiempo en el museo aprendiendo sobre la vida en el pasado.
Then, the saddest moment… We had to say goodbye to our monitors and the
beautiful landscape…
Después llegó el momento más triste… Tuvimos que decir adiós a
nuestros monitores y al precioso paisaje…
After a six-hour trip and two stops to have lunch and a snack… we
finally arrived in Madrid and were reunited with our families!
Después de un viaje de seis horas y dos paradas para comer y merendar…
finalmente llegamos a Madrid y nos reunimos con nuestras familias.
“You were really nice and polite during the whole week. You made us
proud. You were always an example of good manners wherever you went and the
monitors congratulated us on your amazing behaviour and your high level of
