We started our adventure on Monday, November 9th. We had to wake up really early in the morning because the bus was waiting for us at 7 o'clock near the school. We were all excited! We finally arrived in Santander after a 6-hour trip and we could not wait to meet our monitors!
Empezamos nuestra aventura el lunes, 9 de noviembre. Tuvimos que levantarnos muy temprano porque el autocar estaba esperándonos a las 7 de la mañana cerca del cole. ¡Estábamos muy emocionados! Al fin llegamos a Santander después de un viaje de 6 horas y estábamos deseando conocer a nuestros monitores.
They were waiting for us in front of the main entrance to welcome us and help us with our luggage. We had lunch and then we went to our rooms. They were so big and comfortable!
Estaban esperándonos en frente de la entrada principal para darnos la bienvenida y ayudarnos con el equipaje. Comimos y fuimos a nuestras habitaciones. ¡Eran muy grandes y cómodas!
Then we had a really important meeting with the monitors... We were divided into different groups and we met the monitor who was going to be our mentor during the week. There are five different groups: Australia, Canada, Ireland, South Africa and USA.

Después tuvimos una reunión muy importante con los monitores... Nos dividieron en grupos diferentes y conocimos al monitor que iba a ser nuestro tutor durante la semana. Hay cinco grupos diferentes: Australia, Canada, Irlanda, Sudáfrica y Estados Unidos.
Wally is the USA monitor, and he always encourages us to learn more. He also plays the guitar and he was the leader today.

Midus is the monitor of South Africa and he is really athletic and energetic.

Laura is the monitor of Canada. She is very friendly and also good fun.

Ireland is Charlotte's group. She is really kind and she is always smiling.

Malu is Australia's monitor. She is very nice and helpful.

We spent some time with our group, had a shower, and then we had dinner.

It is really important for us to speak English because it is the way to earn dollars and improve our English skills! Our monitors are always encouraging us to speak only English! After dinner, we always learn some new vocabulary and sing songs.
Es realmente importante para nosotros hablar inglés porque es la única manera de ganar dólares y de mejorar nuestras habilidades con el idioma. Nuestros monitores están siempre animándonos a hablar solo inglés. Después de la cena, siempre aprendemos nuevo vocabulario y cantamos canciones.
We had a really amazing day but we were also exhausted so we definitely needed a good sleep!
¡Hemos tenido un día estupendo pero estábamos también muy cansados así que definitivamente necesitábamos dormir bien!
