We woke up at 8 on Wednesday and although
we can only speak English, we had a typical Spanish breakfast: churros!
Nos despertamos a las ocho el miércoles y aunque sólo podemos hablar inglés,
tuvimos un desayuno muy español: ¡churros!
Then, we headed back to Santander and got
ready to surf!!! We went to a surfing school and professional surfers gave us
some basic notions about surfing and how to keep our balance once on the
surfboards. After some time practicing
on the sand we were ready to live the real experience! So, we went in the
water! We were lucky because we had some big waves!
Después, volvimos a dirigirnos a Santander y nos preparamos para hacer
surf. Fuimos a una escuela de surf y surfistas profesionales nos dieron algunas
nociones básicas sobre surfear y sobre cómo mantener el equilibrio una vez que
estuviéramos en la tabla. Después de practicar en la arena, ¡estábamos
preparados para vivir la experiencia real! Así que nos metimos en el agua.
Tuvimos suerte porque tuvimos algunas olas muy buenas.
Back in the hostel, we had lunch and started our activities. First, we
had some free time and then we joined our teams to learn about fauna. We
watched a video and we played some games to reinforce the vocabulary we learnt
today.
De vuelta en el albergue, comimos y empezamos nuestras actividades.
Primero, tuvimos algo de tiempo libre y después nos unimos a nuestros equipos
para aprender sobre fauna. Vimos un video y jugamos algunos juegos para
afianzar el vocabulario que aprendimos
hoy.
We played golf today. We were playing with our monitors and they taught
us one by one about the way to hit the ball in order to do a great golf swing. Sydney
won the game!
Hoy jugamos al golf. Estuvimos jugando con nuestros monitores y nos
enseñaron uno por uno cómo golpear la bola para hacer un buen swing. ¡Sydney
ganó el juego!
Although it was golf day we also played football. We played against
another school and we won! (1-0)
Aunque hoy era el día del golf también jugamos al fútbol. ¡Jugamos
contra otro colegio y ganamos! (1-0)
Then, we rehearsed the plays we are preparing for Thursday night. We
will tell you more about it tomorrow.
Después ensayamos las obras que
estamos preparando para la noche del jueves. Os contaremos más mañana.
After dinner, Australia and USA won some dollars because they were the
teams that spoke the best English at the table during dinner. We can buy
different things with the dollars: we pay a dollar for the shower, another
dollar for the meals and we can also buy a building for the cities in our
country. Each group is a country and then every group is also divided into
different cities. For example, we have a big group of 12 students called USA
and then these students are also divided into smaller groups that are called
New York, Seattle and Los Angeles.
Después de la cena, Australia y Estados Unidos ganaron unos dólares
porque fueron los equipos que hablaron el mejor inglés en la mesa durante la
cena. Podemos comprar diferentes cosas con los dólares: pagamos un dólar por la
ducha, un dólar por cada comida y también podemos comprar un edificio para las
ciudades de nuestro país. Cada grupo es un país y después cada grupo está
también dividido en diferentes ciudades. Por ejemplo, tenemos un grupo de 12
alumnos llamado Estados Unidos y estos alumnos están también divididos en
grupos más pequeños que se llaman Nueva York, Seattle y Los Angeles.
We were working on some drama improvisations after dinner and then we
performed in front of our teammates. We had to use vocabulary about first aids.
David Rodríguez won two dollars for being the best actor tonight.
Estuvimos trabajando en algunas improvisaciones teatrales después de
la cena y después actuamos frente a nuestros compañeros de equipo. Teníamos que
usar vocabulario sobre primeros auxilios. David Rodríguez ganó dos dólares por
ser el mejor actor esta noche.
Then, we watched a video and sang a song
with the new vocabulary of the day and we went to bed.
Después, vimos un video y cantamos una
canción con el nuevo vocabulario del día y nos fuimos a la cama.
